{"id":2189,"date":"2021-10-19T13:58:21","date_gmt":"2021-10-19T20:58:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/gourmet.mygreatvet.com\/?p=2189"},"modified":"2021-10-19T14:04:57","modified_gmt":"2021-10-19T21:04:57","slug":"crock-pot-beef-stew","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/gourmet.mygreatvet.com\/?p=2189","title":{"rendered":"Crock Pot Beef Stew"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Ingredients<\/em><\/p>\n<p>2 pounds beef stew meat, (cut into bite-sized pieces)<br \/>\n1 tsp Salt<br \/>\n1 tsp pepper<br \/>\n1 medium onion, finely chopped<br \/>\n2 celery ribs, sliced<br \/>\n2-3 cloves of garlic, minced<br \/>\n6oz can tomato paste<br \/>\n32oz beef broth<br \/>\n2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce<br \/>\n2 cups baby carrots carrots<br \/>\n4-5 small red potatoes,cut into bite-sized pieces (about 3 cups)<br \/>\n1 tablespoon dried parsley<br \/>\n1 teaspoon oregano<br \/>\n1 cups frozen peas<br \/>\n1 cup frozen corn<br \/>\n1\/4 cup flour<br \/>\n1\/4 cup water<\/p>\n<p><em>Directions:<\/em><\/p>\n<p>1. \u00a0Combine beef, celery, carrots, red onion, potatoes, salt, \u00a0pepper, garlic, parsley, oregano,\u00a0Worcestershire sauce, beef broth, and tomato paste in the crock pot. I used a 6 qt crockpot for this stew. \u00a0Cook on LOW for 10 hours or on HIGH for 6-7 hours.<\/p>\n<p>2. \u00a0About 30 minutes before serving, mix the flour and the water together in a small dish and pour\u00a0into the crockpot. Mix until well combined. This will add a nice thickness to the stew. Next add in\u00a0your frozen peas and corn.
