Lemon Sesame Glazed Greens

Alton Brown recipe.

  • 1 – 1 1/4lbs stemmed mustard greens or kale
  • 1 T. olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon, zested
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp fresh black pepper, ground
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 T. sesame seeds

Wash greens thoroughly, spin them dry, then chop into coarse pieces

Heat 13×11″ roasting pan over 2 burners, on medium heat.  Add oil, then garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, honey, salt & pepper. Stir to combine.  Add the greens & saute for 4-5 minutes, tossing continuously.  Add red pepper flakes and sesame seeds.  Toss to combine. Adjust seasoning if desired. Serve immediately.
